Workshop

Duration: 3-4 hours (14:00-17:30)

Course fee: 20,000 yen (5,000 yen deposit required).

The content is the same as the workshops advertised on external websites, but the fees are cheaper.

●What will you learn in the workshop?
You will learn how to make an ambrotype using a glass plate, take a self-portrait, and create an ambrotype (cabinet size) to take home on the day. All equipment, materials, and chemicals will be provided so that you can participate empty-handed. No prior knowledge of cameras is required.

We have set low prices so that as many people can experience it.

●Workshop Schedule (14:00-17:30)
①Self-introduction

②Outline of wet plate photography (history, chemical mechanism)
③Preparing the glass plates

④Deciding the composition

⑤Shooting and developing the first plate (my demonstration)
⑥Shooting and developing the second 
plate (performed by participants)
⑦ Rinse with water

⑧ Varnish and dry

*The length of the workshop may change slightly.


Please read
- Each participant may bring one companion with them for a fee of 5,000 yen (you may take photos with your companion instead of taking a self-portrait).
-The end time of the workshop will vary by approximately 1 hour depending on the number of participants.

-This does not include chemical mixing work.
